Hello Universe!!! It’s getting close to Christmas!
This week in English class was not very Christmas-y though, more of a “We are going to do work now!” type week.
We did a lot more than usual! Maybe it was the rain that somehow calmed us all down and got us into relaxing mode; I do find something about rainy days to be very calming.
We did a good amount of grammar work this week, as well as progress on our essays quite a bit. We also discussed out St. Nicholas Day project, we will be baking cookies for everybody again!
I love baking, and cooking in general! I am really excited to have everyone taste all the goodies we will be making!
I’m also pretty good at cooking (or so I think).
I think it is always really fun to do something nice for other people, like baking cookies for everyone in the school, or when we all went to that senior center to help decorate for Christmas. We get the opportunity to spread that Christmas cheer to everybody around us, and who wouldn’t want to do that? That does not mean it is suddenly unimportant to do good deeds or community service when the holiday season is over, but when you do help out around the holidays it makes it extra special.
