The Red Badge of Courage (Why Red?)

The next book I will be reading (and optionally enjoying) The Red Badge of Courage is written by Stephan Crane and published in 1895. It is a war novel, and is hard to get facts about without spoiling the whole book. The book is mainly about Henry Flemming, who flees the war (Who wouldn’t ? Or we should ask, Who would? People may flee out of cowardice of being afraid to die, or out of nobility, like trying to get back to a family. Many people say that if you care about your nation, you’ll fight, and that is the only noble path. What does that mean? Is it mass murder, or self defense?). Henry, thought he had committed an act of cowardice. ( Once again, what was his reason?) So he tries to get a Red badge of courage (whatever that means)
Only thing to do now is read the book!
